About Our Scout Group

Our History

Founded in 1938, our Scout Group has deep roots in the Coddington community. Through decades of change, we have remained committed to our core mission of helping young people develop skills for life through adventure, teamwork, and service to others.

Our historic Scout Hall on Main Road has been the heart of our activities, hosting countless meetings, camps, and community events over the years. It stands as a testament to the dedication of volunteers and supporters who have kept Scouting alive in Coddington.

Volunteer-Run Organization

Our Scout Group is entirely volunteer-run. Every leader, helper, and committee member gives their time freely to ensure that young people in our community have access to high-quality Scouting. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds but share a common commitment to developing young people's potential.

Without the dedication of our volunteers, none of our activities would be possible. If you're interested in volunteering with us, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Mission

We aim to:

The Scouting Movement

We are proud members of The Scout Association, the UK's largest youth movement. Scouting offers over 400 different activities to young people, from traditional camping and outdoor pursuits to modern skills like coding and environmental conservation.

As part of a worldwide movement with over 57 million members across 172 countries, our young people benefit from international opportunities, shared values, and a global network of friendship.
